Children's Services

Since our inception in 2005, Service Care Solutions have specialised in providing quality temporary and permanent candidates across a wide range of children’s and young persons services.

We supply to both the public and private sector, partnering with local authorities, the NHS, housing associations, private residential homes and children’s charities. Some of the major children’s services that we supply to include Action for Children, Barnardo’s, Compass Fostering Central Ltd & Jamores Homes.

Our professional and dedicated candidates are highly experienced in supporting children and young people that may experience various eating disorders, mental health issues, learning difficulties, challenging behaviours or other social & emotional behavioural difficulties.

We supply candidates right across the spectrum from lower level positions such as Young Persons support workers right through to qualified staff and higher level management positions such as specialist CAMHS Nurses and Children’s Home Managers.

The safeguarding and welfare of children and young people is of upmost importance to SCS and we take great pride in ensuring we adopt safe recruitment and selection procedures when recruiting candidates for children’s services. Therefore we take a variety of steps to ensure our candidates go through the necessary vetting checks which includes but is not limited to:

  • Face to Face Interviews with our specialist consultants & clinical lead. To ensure our candidates possess the essential knowledge, skills and characteristics required to work with vulnerable children and young persons

  • Completion of an enhanced DBS check. With the addition of completing a children’s barred list check at the request of our clients.

  • Verification of statutory & mandatory training in-line with Skills for Health standards.

  • Qualification and Governing Body regulatory checks as per the job profile.

  • SCS strive to ensure that our candidates consistently demonstrate excellence and we are committed to our candidates Continual Professional Development.

  • We therefore offer each of our candidates a CPD allowance which enables them to gain access to further training or attain further qualifications to support their progression within their current or future job profile.

  • We have previously worked with our candidates to support them in obtaining NVQ Level 5 qualifications in order for them to progress into managerial positions.
