Job description: My Client, a local authority in East London, is currently looking for a .Net Developer with strong ASP.Net skills, and experience with MS Dynamics 365 to work on an initial 2 month contract basis. This does have potential to be extended.

Working as part of the ICT Development team, you will be responsible for the design, creation, testing and documenting of new and amended software components.

Overall Responsibilities:

1. Working with other members of the ICT Development team to design large and / or complex programs and program modifications from supplied specifications using agreed standards and tools, to achieve a well engineered result ensuring that the work is consistent with the Digital Service Standard.

2. Create and amend programmes in accordance with the design.

3. Plan, design and conduct tests of programs; correct errors and re-test to achieve an error-free result.

4. Take part in reviews of supplied specifications, and reviews of own work, ensuring that the work of the team is consistent with the Digital Service Standard.

5. Working alone on new systems and modifications to existing systems, or with colleagues on complex systems, specify user / system interfaces, including for example: menus, screen dialogues, inputs, wireframes, boned rigs, visual characters, reports, validation and error correction procedures,and processing rules.

6. Translate logical designs into physical designs taking account of target environment, performance requirements and existing systems. Produce detailed designs including for example: physical data flows, class diagrams, file layouts, common routines and utilities, program specifications or prototypes, and backup, recovery and restart procedures.

7. Document all work using required standards, methods and tools, including prototyping tools where appropriate.

8. Working with data analysis colleagues where appropriate, produce or update system object / data models and correlate these with corporate models.

● Demonstrates an understanding of current developments in the application of Information Systems and is able to assimilate and interpret advice from specialists - technical or otherwise.
● Proficient in software tools which automate or assist part of the development process.
● Proficient in understanding and applying organised and documented sets of techniques, and proven methods, intended to facilitate the structured and open development of applications.
● Proficient in understanding software which enables the user to create, populate and manipulate data structures.
● Proficient in the digital development techniques and methods required to deliver modern, high quality user interfaces and interactions.
● Familiar with the IT / IS infrastructure, operating systems, configurations and the IT applications and service processes used within the organisation.
● Familiar with testing techniques used to plan and execute software tests of all application components (functional and non-functional) to verify that the software satisfies specified requirements and to detect errors.
● Familiar with the application of methods and techniques for structured reviews, including reviews of technical work products, test plans, business cases, architectures and any other key deliverables. Examples: peer review, formal technical review.
● Familiar with corporate, industry and professional standards, policies,regulations, compliance and codes of conduct associated with the role.
● Familiar with configuration management and version control.
