Job description: Care & Permanent Placement Administrator

You will be key support to the Head of Social Work, Head of Services and Partnerships and the Independent reviewing managers (and their management teams) in the form, function, delivery and outcomes of requests for resources to support children and families in Norfolk.

The position is for an initial 3 months full time with rates from £10+ per hour.

Responsible for coordinating the weekly case discussion meetings, permanence planning meetings completing the agenda, ensuring all paperwork is submitted and circulated on time and also undertake any checks on case recording system as required.

Responsible for taking the minutes and entering them in live to the case recording system, contribute to the panel conversation as and when required

Track each case that is presented to the meeting in order to ensure that the resources agreed at the meeting are secured as expected and inform the chair as appropriate of any issues regarding this.

Ensure that cases that cases are re-presented to the relevant meeting as per the chair's instructions.

Ensure that the right children are presented to the right meeting at the right time

Support the work of the case discussion meetings and practitioners by liaising with providers of support services to bring packages of support to an end on the recording system.

Ensure that systems are in place that measure quality, effective delivery and value for money of commissioned provision

Responsibility for developing good relationships between the Locality and service providers both internal and external, such as, Independent Fostering Agencies, CAMHS, residential provision, Children Centres, that help foster a joined-up approach to good quality service delivery.

Support the operation of the locality by ensuring that systems are in place to process invoices promptly and supply information to the corporate centre to enable accurate payments to providers of placements for children and young people in external care placements.

Work closely with Head of Service and their Finance contact to ensure practical information about service requests, delivery and future changes in demand, provision or requests is identified and accounted for in budget forecasting and reports.

Ensure there are aggregating systems in place that can produce, on demand, current spend by child regardless of where that spend is recorded.
