Job description: Service Care Solutions are seeking an Administrator to work for a Force based in Portishead.

The main responsibility will be to provide administrative support to Professional Standards Department.

The Role:

* To provide basic secretarial services as required.
* To produce basic written correspondence to internal and external staff and deal with all incoming correspondence.
* Respond to telephone enquiries from members of the public and internal staff, exercising considerable discretion and ensuring that confidential information is not disclosed.
* To be responsible for inputting, updating and retrieval of data on the Departmental computer systems and records.
* Make decisions regarding archiving of documents and searching files to ensure that appropriate information is maintained.
* To prepare appeal papers for submission to the IPCC

The successful candidate should be computer literate.

This is a police-based role, so applicants will be subject to police security checks.

It is advised that applicants have a clean DBS/CRB within the last 3 years.
