Job description: ADVANCED PRACTITIONER - BARNET COUNCIL - REFERAL AND ASSESSMENT TEAM
Service Care Solutions are looking for an Advanced Practitioner to join Barnet Council as part of the referral and assessment team. The successful post holder must be able to function as a senior social worker and be able to manage a complex case load within the team. Experience of court work is beneficial.
This is a temporary post.

PAY - £34.99ltd per hour
HOURS - full time (36 per week)
CONTRACT - Temporary (3 Months +)

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
*Satisfactory enhanced DBS outcome
*HCPC/SWE registration
*Must have a recognised social work qualification
*Must either hold a practice educator qualification or be willing to attain this
*Must have substantial and demonstrable experience of working as a qualified social worker within a statutory Childrens Social Care setting
*Knowledge and experience as set out in the Senior Social Worker Skills and Competency framework for social workers
*3 years PQE predominantly in referral and assessment teams
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
*To demonstrate at a higher level the ability to assess the needs of children and their families within an analytical and holistic framework, using appropriate tools to achieve the desired outcome for this group of service users
*Must be IT competent
*To take a lead role in a specialist area as directed by the departmental policies and procedures
*Work to a structured time management practice; submitting reports, assessments and plans within regulated timescales
*To demonstrate expert and effective practice in complex situations, and be able to assess and manage higher levels of risk on their own and that of less experienced social workers
*To work within the resilience framework, to provide a comprehensive and effective integrated social work service which responds at a higher level in complex situations to the needs of children and their families in a timely manner
