Job description: A local authority based in Central London is looking for an Affordable Workspace Project Officer to join their team. This is a full time, temporary ongoing agency role and the successful candidate must have experience with Affordable Workspace planning and ideally experience working in a similar local authority role.

This role is for Affordable Workspace programme.
The successful candidate will need to have some understanding of negotiations with developers on Affordable Workspace, be able to provide advice on the needs of Affordable Workspace operators and facilitated site visits for potential operators to answer questions in relation to the contracts for the Council's portfolio of Affordable Workspaces.
Qualifications in project management would be an advantage, as the role will be required to report on a regular basis to senior management on progress of spaces.

The successful candidate will be expected to have:

A broad understanding of planning policies, principles and issues
Experience in the delivery of complex affordable workspace projects
An ability to work collaboratively to redesign affordable work spaces
Experience of working within a recognised project management framework
An ability to draft funding bids and lobby for investment; an ability to provide expert advice to members, management and less experienced colleagues
A qualification in project management or a related discipline to degree level or equivalent with a proven track record of successful post-qualification practice would be desirable.

The client is looking to move quickly with appointing to this position and as such is offering an hourly rate of £20 p/hr - £24 p/hr Umbrella Ltd (Approx. £490 - £570 p/week after deductions), dependant on experience and qualifications, for the duration of the role.
