Job description: ASB Officer - Dudley
A local authority in the West Midlands are recruiting for an ASB Officer to cover the recruitment for a permanent vacancy. They are looking for a candidate with previous ASB Experience and knowledge of legislation and a proven track record of case management, to cover a patch in Dudley.

The Role
The focus of the role is to deliver a high quality, prompt, effective and appropriate response service to reports of anti-social behaviour, noise nuisance (including statutory nuisance), and hate incidents regardless of tenure. They key accountabilities in the role will include:
-To be responsible for responding to and resolving reports of anti-social behaviour (ASB), noise nuisance (including statutory nuisance) and hate incidents across residential areas.
-To be responsible for providing direct and indirect support and re-assurance to those who report ASB, noise nuisance or hate incidents.
-To ensure timely and accurate recording of all relevant information on managed cases on the ASB database and Electronic Document Management Systems.
-To effectively liaise with members of the Safe and Sound Partnership and other internal and external individuals and organisations to ensure excellent customer service and an effective response to reports of ASB.
-To promote tenancy sustainment, community cohesion, social inclusion, diversity and equal opportunities through the delivery of the ASB service.
-To be an effective member of the Anti-Social Behaviour Team with particular responsibility for responding to and the prevention of ASB.
-To achieve service targets and to contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the ASB Team and that of the overall Safe and Sound Partnership and Housing Service.
-To be responsible for the management of ASB, noise nuisance and hate incident cases from allocation until closure, acting as the principle point of contact for the person who made the report and other stakeholders.
-To support complainants, victims and witnesses of ASB, noise nuisance and hate incidents by offering appropriate advice and assistance, where necessary through signposting and referring to other relevant teams or agencies
-This post is not area specific and the area may be changed within the Dudley borough.
-To be flexible in the approach to working including participating in the Council's agile working policy.
-The post may include any other duties commensurate with the level of the post.

The Candidate
To be successful within this role, you will need to demonstrate that they have significant experience, knowledge and understanding of responding to and resolving issues of Anti-Social Behaviour, experience of excellent case management processes, a commitment to improving services, working to deadlines and meeting targets, working in partnerships and being able to take the lead in a multi-agency environment.

The Contract
This is an initial 2-month contract covering the recruitment process for a permanent role, so could potentially be extended. Once in the role, you will be able to apply for the permanent vacancy also. The role is full time, working 37 hours per week.
