Job description: A Local Authority based in Hertfordshire is looking for a Commercial Asset Manager to join their team. This is a full time, temporary agency role and the successful candidate must have a full relevant qualification, proven experience in Acquisitions, Disposals and Asset Management and ideally experience in a similar local authority setting.

The main purpose of the role is to undertake acquisitions/disposals of identified sites and to create a pipeline of identified sites through locality reviews. You will also be expected to manage the property portfolio to maximise revenue and capital while enhancing the social outcomes for the client's community.

The main responsibilities associated with this role are as follows;

Provide technical and property support for the Regeneration and Housing teams
Be the Estates lead for disposal programmes contained within certain initiatives such as garage improvement schemes
Work with Estate Surveyors to identify and deliver improvements to the community
Advise of property valuations
Carry out development and options appraisals in respect of properties and related projects
Contribute to the asset review process and locality reviews
Manage and identify a pipeline of asset opportunities, including the disposals programme
Populate and manage the relevant property records to inform the estates teams, facilitating accurate project and programme management

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following competencies/attributes;

Member of RICS
Ability to produce, interpret and analyse statistical data
Full UK driving licence and own vehicle
Knowledge of Landlord/Tenant Legislation
Ability to value all types of property including commercial properties and land
Carry out effective property reviews and appraisals
Understanding of procurement and EU procurement requirements
Desirable experience with non-domestic rating appeals and an understanding of affordable housing issues

The client is looking to move quickly with appointing to this position and as such is offering a negotiable rate of between £28 - £30 p/hour Umbrella Ltd dependant on skills and qualifications. (Approx. £690 - £730 take home pay per week after all deductions).
