Job description: Assistant Contract Manager, Hackney
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an Assistant Contract Manager vacancy for a local authority in Hackney. As an Assistant Contract Manager based in Hackney, it is essential that you have previous experience in the management of large contracts and have previously been involved in asset management. You will also have excellent administration skills and computer literacy.
In this role, your key responsibilities will include the following:
-Support and deputising for the Asset and Facilities Management Group Leader to ensure Capital Projects meet the requirements of schools and children's centres and the strategic objectives of the Authorities Education Property and Capital Development Team are achieved
-Working closely with schools and other education establishments to support and guide them in their building maintenance and property management responsibilities.
-Providing support and deputising for the Group Leader to ensure the service delivery of the Building Schools of the Future Project (BSF) Facilities Management (FM) service by the Local Education Partnership (LEP) with an overall contract value of £4.5 Million.
-Managing the day-to-day contractual requirements of the Facilities Management Contract for 6 Secondary Schools, 3 SEN Schools and 1 Primary School, ensuring the interests of the Authority and their school assets are protected at all times.
-Providing Asset Management support and guidance to 10, Early Years and Children's Centres. Advising on the findings of their condition survey reports and supervising the centres the resolution of high priority defects in order to meet their property obligations.
-Providing guidance and innovation in ensuring all relevant education duty holders adhere to their statutory obligations. Engaging with multiple government agencies to ensure compliance and enforcement throughout the educational portfolio.
This is a 3-month contract starting immediately, so you must be ready to start the role immediately. The vacancy is covering a peak in workload, however, there is an excellent chance of the contract being extended.
