Job description: Service Care Solutions is looking for an Assistant Floating Support Manager to work at a private forensic mental health service in North London.

The ideal candidate would have:

Essential -
*Full UK licence and own car
*Flexible to work evenings and weekends
*Experience of Floating support
*Experience in the mental health field

Location:Head office; North Finchley, other project locations around North London (Enfield, Barnet and Haringey) and external venues as required

Salary:£24,000 Per Annum plus mileage. (Full time 37.5 includes evening & weekends)

Job Purpose: To support the Floating Support Manager in the effective operational day to day delivery of the service. To oversee staff induction, development and supervision. To coordinate referrals and support staff to deliver quality and timely support to service users. To provide excellent management of the floating support team.

Undertake performance management with staff

Responding to and monitoring of complaints and feedback

To support the front line team with the most complex and challenging of cases, including holding a case load to be managed.

Support the Service Manager with audits and the delivery of any Service Performance Plans

Coordination of referrals, assessments and service user support

To be part of the rota'd emergency on-call service

Undertake disciplinary investigations

Support and encourage service users engagement and positive experience

Coordinate and/or deliver local workshops for staff and service users

Ensure that all service users have an assigned support worker and are assessed and engaged with according to their priority need(s)

To maintain and develop close links and positive relationships with referring agencies, community groups, and partner organisations, including attending team meetings, delivering presentations and information gathering and feedback

Ensure that innovative and personalised support is delivered flexibly by the team, to meet service user needs and wishes, building independence within the community

Ensure that risk assessments and management plans are completed and updated regularly

To ensure that adequate staff are on duty at all times, and that appropriate staff rotas have been prepared and that arrangements are in place for the use of locum workers if required

Responsible for putting the Business Continuity Plan into practice when required

Staff Management:

Provide effective line management to frontline staff, including being the first point of contact for dealing with staff queries in regards to day to day working practices.

Induct new staff in support of the plan set out by the Floating Support Manager

To support the Service Manager with creating a positive and productive working environment, to improve and maintain the wellbeing of staff.
Ensure that all staff maintains high standards of professional performance at all times through adherence to Shine's policies and procedural frameworks, along with leading by example with own behaviours.

To identify relevant staff development opportunities and work with the Floating Support Manager to implement these.

Ensuring the appropriate application of HR policies and Procedures in all services, e.g. sickness absence management processes code of conduct, disciplinary and grievance

Ensure staff are listened to and supported to escalate appropriately with HR in relation to relevant queries and concerns.

Oversee and coordinate induction and probationary periods of new staff.

Actively participate in the coordination and delivery of team meetings and learning workshops.
