Job description: Service Care Solutions is looking for an Assistant Manager to work in a forensic mental health service in Watford.

The salary would be £22-23,000 a year in a service looking after 9 service users.

1.To act in accordance with the policies and procedures of the company
2.To deal with administrative tasks such as creating shifts and team schedules, ensuring communication is maintained with the landlord to facilitate the efficiency of all maintenance and repairs being carried out in the premises are carried out by professionals within a short time, maintain contact with relatives and key people in service users' lives.
3.To work in front line with support workers as and when required by the needs of the service.
4.To supervise the staff within the home, ensure continued personal and professional development is maintained through the organization of relevant training and regular supervision.
5.To ensure that a high quality of care is delivered to all service users as outlined in the support plan and to work as part of a cohesive team.
6.Ensure that in all areas of practice they adhere to all current home guidance as outlined in staff handbook.
7.To implement, promote and maintain care for the service users on a daily basis and deliver agreed standards of care with the other members of the team
8.To asses, implement and maintain individual support plans for service users
9.To monitor and assist in the development and implementation of activity programme both at an individual level and at the home scale.
10.To liaise with GP, CMHT and other professionals in the delivery of care
11.To order, record, store, administer and dispose of medicines according to the home policy and CQC requirements for the management of medicine.
12.Ensure that care an support is centered around the service users and focused on agreed outcomes and that dignity and privacy are maintained at all times.
13.Ensure that due regard is given to custom, values and belief of service users and colleagues and that equal opportunities are practiced.
14.To handle complaints appropriately in accordance with the policies and procedure laid down by the home.
15.To be responsible for the home during the registered managers absence and be responsible for notifying CQC of all reportable incidents or events within the service on the appropriate form with undue delays.
16.Ensure that the home is always staffed at appropriate levels and deal with lateness/absence according to the home policies
17.To carry out any other management duties related to maintaining high standards of care delivery as required by CQC and the local authority.
