Job description: Service Care Solutions are currently working with Peterborough Council in recruiting for a Reablement Assistant Manager.

The purpose of the role is for daily Management of the Reablement service, playing an active role in the supervision and support of day to day work practices and procedures of support staff in order to ensure delivery of appropriate standards of practice to clients the reablement service in their own homes between the hours of 07:00 to 22:00.

Main Duties:

* Line management of Reablement Support workers, who are delivering care & support to clients
in their own homes. Completing supervision sessions, on-patch monitoring and yearly PDR's.
* Working as part of a multi-displinary team, promoting effective communication between other
internal teams and outside agencies to arrange the reablement support process for each client
maintaining service standards, continuity of operations and effective communication of all
appropriate and relevant information
* Being part of an on-call rota providing an out of hour's service, Responding appropriately to calls
from Reablement Support Workers, clients, carers, relatives, other health care professionals in
order to ensure a high quality service is delivered.
* Being part of a rota working 1 in 3 weekends. Working the hours of 8:00am-18:00pm being
based at Peterborough City Hospital. There would also be the requirement to cover sickness,
holiday cover for your Assistant Manager colleagues.
* Management of relief cover where appropriate to meet the needs of clients, in particular by the
allocation of tasks, prioritising of workload and re-allocation to assure availability of Reablement
Support Workers at all times
* Management of staff absence, sickness and any performance issues in accordance with PCC
Policies and Procedures.
Skills required:

* A DBS from within the last 12 months
* Experience in working in a Children Homes
* NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent
