Job description: We are looking for Band 5 Mental Health Nurses (RMN) for a fantastic opportunity to join a newly refurbished specialist Mental Health service based in Suffolk, within an NHS PICU ward.

Temporary pay rate:
*Days: £18ph
*Nights & Saturdays: £22ph
*Sundays & Bank Holidays: £26ph

Hours and length of contract:
*Full time 37.5 hours
*The wards operate 24/7 and rotation onto night shifts is required (flexibility to discuss)
* Shift times are:
oEarly: 06:30 to 14:30
oLate: 13:15 to 21:15
oNight: 20:30 to 07:00
oLong days available, including night work
*Initial 3 month contract (possible further 3-6 months extension)
*The manager requires the position to be filled ASAP

Daily Duties:
The service cares for both males and females from the age of 17 who are, or may be, suffering with a mental health problem.
They provide assessment and treatment services for acute mental disorders and rehabilitation including depression, bipolar, psychosis, dementia and crisis resolution.

They offer treatments such as:
*Medication including access to pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
*Psychology
*Complimentary therapy
*Occupational therapy
*Art therapy
*Brief talking therapies
*Physical health screening and assessment

You will be working as part of the Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) supporting service users through their journey to return back to the community.
Due to the complexity of cases and the acute needs of the patients you will be providing intensive treatment to users with a two to one staff to patient ratio and will participate in all aspects of care management and be provided with reflective practice, including clinical and managerial supervision.

Person specification:
The applicant must have completed the Dementia Awareness Tier 1 training, be DBS cleared and have previous experience in the field.
