Job description: Are you looking for a new contract? Are you available for at least the next 8 weeks?
I was wondering if you would be interested in a position as a Community Psychiatric Nurse in Derby. The role is a temporary contract until the end of July. The role is with and Early intervention team and will involve working 09:00-17:00 Monday - Friday. In addition, a car driver will be required for the role.
Early Intervention Team:

An Early Intervention practitioner will work in partnership with service users, carers and other partner agencies, assess, plan and provide packages of care for individuals and their families/carers experiencing first episode psychosis to fulfil all requirements of CPA Care Co-ordination. You will also be required to provide supervision and support to junior team members and colleagues and will be accountable for the co-ordination of care plans for people who are in the early stages of psychotic illness between the ages of 14 upwards. The post holder will Assess health and social care needs the negotiate, deliver and administrate care plans in partnership with multi-disciplinary colleagues and a range of health and social care agencies, within the CPA structure.

They will also offer care/interventions within the least restrictive setting in normal community environments whilst providing an an age, culture and gender sensitive service.

The service offers a range of evidence based interventions and proactive risk management approaches to help the service user and their family to reduce and manage symptoms, high risk behaviour and other disabling effects of psychosis and enable, as far as possible, full and sustained recovery. This also involves monitoring treatment, supporting concordance and ensure prompt action is taken to alleviate unwanted effects and providing access to and ongoing psycho-education regarding first episode psychosis to service users and families.

The post holder will ensure the basic needs are addressed i.e. housing, income, support in accessing education/training etc. Due to the wide age range of service users it is important to recognise their developmental needs and enable a vocational/educational assessment within a specified time of their contact with the service.

Requirements:
*Registered with the NMC as a Registered Mental Health Nurse
*Nursing qualification
*Recent experience working at a Band 6 level or equivalent
*Must be able to engage with patients/clients
*Flexible
*Must be a car driver.
*Evidence of vaccination/immunity for TB (BCG), Hep B, MMR and Varicella (chicken pox).
*Must be eligible to work in the UK
*Will ideally have Practical Breakaway and conflict resolution training
