Job description: We are currently looking for a band 6 Infection Prevention and Control Specialist Nurse to work with Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust.


-Start: ASAP
-Contract length: 8 weeks with a possible extension
-Transport: Own vehicle and business insurance required, expenses covered.
-Shift pattern: 9-5 with some flexibility
-Days: Monday to Friday with some flexibility
-Pay: £25 per hour
-Payment Method: Umbrella Company

Key Purpose

-To support clinicians and health care workers to appropriately prevent and manage infections and adhere to IP&C policies and procedures.
-To work according to the DCHS way, supporting members of the IP&C team to achieve the service specific and organisational objectives.
-To provide a continual pathway of support for patients moving through DCHS, different health care provider and community settings.
-To provide general specialist Infection Prevention and Control advice and training to DCHS staff and other healthcare providers, where appropriate, to ensure patients and staff are protected from harm.
-To support Root Cause Analysis, Serious Incident and Coroner investigations in DCHS and other settings, where appropriate.


-Valid NMC
-Relevant NHS experience
