Band 6 Occupational Therapist - Oldham

Job description: Service Care Health are currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to work for the NHS in Oldham.

You must hold a BSc or Diploma in Occupational Therapy, be registered with the HCPC and have access to your own vehicle for business use.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
*To provide a specialist Community Occupational Therapy Service for clients referred with difficulties in physical functioning, with the aim to improve function independence and wellbeing.
*To assess the functional abilities of the client, taking into account their physical, psychological, environmental, social, behaviour, religious and cultural needs. These needs are complex, changing and vary across the caseload.
*To receive referrals, screen, prioritise, assess, identify needs, plan intervention, implement, evaluate, adjust and review to address the client's complex and changing needs. This will include assessing the impact on the carer and their needs using professional judgement and clinical reasoning throughout.
*To use listening, reflecting, observation , negotiating communication , persuasive and empathic skills to support and facilities potential for rehabilitation and acceptance of functional limitations.

This post is available to start as soon as possible for 2- months initially, with a view to extension.
