We are currently recruiting for a Band 7 Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join the Mental Health Liaison Team (MHLD) at South St Mary’s Hospital on the Isle of Wight. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled RMN to take on a rewarding role within an acute hospital setting, providing mental health support to patients across various departments. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments in acute and emergency care settings
- Provide expert advice and support to general medical and surgical staff
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Respond to psychiatric crises and conduct risk assessments
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external services
- Maintain accurate, professional documentation in line with NHS standards
- Current NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
- Previous experience at Band 7 level or in a mental health liaison/crisis team role
- Strong assessment, clinical decision-making, and communication skills
- Ability to manage a varied caseload independently and effectively
- Full compliance required before placement (DBS, references, etc.)
- Excellent hourly rate: £32 per hour LTD (PAYE options available)
