Job description: Brokerage Assistant
Oxfordshire County Council
Oxford
Initially a 6-month temporary contract
£11.41 ltd per hour

I am looking for a Brokerage Assistant to join Oxfordshire County Council's Care and Support Brokerage Service based in Oxford.

The Care & Support Brokerage Service arranges and purchases care and support to meet the needs of both children and adults. This includes sourcing, commercial negotiation and arrangement of specialist placements and packages of care as well as use of block contracts, approved provider lists and framework agreements (local and regional).

Day-to-day:
1.Act as a point of contact for the Brokerage service, including enquiries which may be emotive, distressing and complex in nature: assessing the nature and urgency of the call and responding as appropriate or referring to Placement Officers as appropriate.
2.Proactively liaise and jointly work with both internal and external agencies to ensure good links and understanding of work undertaken by the Brokerage service.
3.Process and respond promptly to incoming communications (post, telephone, fax, email) accurate message taking, copying and distributing information as necessary.
4.Undertake general clerical and administrative tasks
5.Produce a range of documents including IPA [Individual Placement Agreement] and package agreements
6.Use electronic and manual filing systems with due regard to security and confidentiality.
7.Collect, process and input data into the County Council's information management systems and databases in a timely way, ensuring accuracy and security of data and compliance with statutory requirements.
8.Provide regular statistical and summary reports for Managers as required.
9.Assist in maintaining up to date information about the service including the intranet, internet, stationery and publications
10.Assist in the checking of placement agreements, validation and responding to concerns.
11.Maintain and develop effective working relationships with other stakeholders
