Job description: Buddy Support Project Manager

Monday - Friday (Full-time 37.5 hours weekly)
Starting Salary: £22,756.50 - £26,812.50 per annum
This is depending on skills and experience with potential salary increase progression.
Full time permanent position (Based at HMP Wymott and HMP Preston with some home working required)

Our client has been supporting and delivering services to help the older offender population both in prisons and the community for over ten years. The charity is delighted to be able to advertise for a Buddy Support Project Manager position. This is a new position and prison role requiring set up and implementation, replicating our existing and award winning Buddy service model.

The successful post holder will co-ordinate the training, supervision and management of the Prison Cluster Buddy Support Worker programme. This is phase one of hopefully a growing service and team across the North West region as the number of recipients continues to grow in prison. This post is prison based but some travel and initial work shadowing will be necessary, so flexibility is required. All work expenses will be reimbursed.
The successful candidate will have previous Criminal Justice or Social Care experience, have strong administrative skills using Microsoft packages and have an understanding of the kinds of issues faced by older individuals and offenders.

In this role, you will also be expected to work closely with a range of Criminal Justice stakeholders especially Her Majesty's Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS), Probation and Local Authority partners.

The successful applicant will be subject to DBS checks/disclosure and Prison Security vetting.
