Job description: A Housing Association based in Central London is looking for a Building Surveyor to join their team. This is a fully Permanent position and the successful candidate must have a full surveying qualification, experience within a residential repairs & maintenance setting and ideally experience working with Housing Associations in the past.

This role is to carry out detailed surveys and drawing up specifications for the Group's residential and commercial assets, identifying and resolving property related risks and managing property reinvestment projects using a variety of contractor based procurement models.

The main responsibilities associated with the role are as follows;

Identifying and resolving property related risks, putting controls in place, and ensuring those controls are maintained.
Carrying out detailed surveys and drawing up specifications of work for residential and commercial assets.
Managing property reinvestment projects using a variety of contractor based procurement models in housing stock.
Carrying out other professional building surveying duties, and offer other technical guidance and support to adjacent owners, developers and across all departments
Produce detailed specification and tender documents for repairs, planned improvement and corrective works in line with current regulations and legislation.
Procure works contracts to achieve best value, efficiency and best practice in line with tendering procedures.
Manage and supervise contracts and directly employed Construction Industry Scheme personnel on site, acting as contract administrator or client representative under JCT, Term Tender and in house forms of contract.
Deliver allocated projects ensuring they are delivered on time and in budget whilst ensuring high quality of work and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Collect information for, and manage key performance indicators to monitor contractor performance both in-house and through contractual appointment.
Produce feasibility studies and reports to provide justification for reinvestment in stock.
Carry out other on-going professional building surveying duties including party walls, boundary disputes, disrepair and statutory notices and lease management.
Assist with option appraisals and sustainability reviews for individual or groups of properties.
Ensure that the client complies with all relevant legislation and that you and assigned contractors operate in accordance with policies, procedures, Health and Safety guidance, financial regulations and other relevant processes.

The client is looking to move quickly with appointing to this role and as such are offering a salary of £32,000 - £37,000 per annum plus a great additional benefits package.
