Job description: My client, a housing association, is looking for an IT Business Analyst to work on an initial 3 month contract in Southend-on-Sea. Pay rate is open for negotiation.

You will be responsible for converting business needs into new digital processes, and will work with other areas of the business to develop specifications of system requirements. This role with mostly involve working in a project team on bespoke/third party system projects which will include business process analysis duties.

You must be able to demonstrate a strong track record of innovation and improvement, working around digital transformation.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and extend the efficient and effective use of the Customer Relationship Management system and interfaces and improve the business processes and procedures.

2. Manage and successfully deliver projects as directed by the Director of ICT & Digital Business Transformation and the Digital Business Project Manager.

3. Map, analyse, process and translate business needs into coherent specifications, using standards-based methodologies, for project teams and the ICT team.

4. Line manage a Graduate Apprentice - Digital post, as applicable.


Main Duties:

1. Provide advice to the Association regarding the use of systems and the
potential of digital technology to enable the delivery of business benefits.

2. Implement business systems and change programmes by effective technology deployment throughout the entire project life cycle: from project inception, requirements gathering, leading the preparation and presentation of business cases through implementation to project completion and reviews.

3. Develop and extend the efficient and effective use of the CRM and associated systems and interfaces and improve the business processes and procedures

4. Review existing business processes and procedures, propose and implement new, and more efficient and effective, methods of working as a complete business solution

5. Specify system requirements relating to issues and enhancements, in consultation with relevant staff and stakeholders in support of the Digital Business Project Manager.

6. Work with our selected CRM provider to manage supplier/developer's work on live modules, incorporating them into the project team as required.

7. Map customer transaction processes and streamline them into CRM workflows, in direct collaboration with staff, re-designing processes and interfaces and running workshops to facilitate this.

8. Ensure CRM and other reports are specified, designed and produced, to meet the requirements of the organisation, following detailed consultation on specifications with relevant departments and in liaison with the CRM supplier.

9 Identify opportunities for business improvement by analysing systems and technology use, emerging business requirements and market developments


Required Skills:

* Process mapping and re-engineering.
* Ability to capture business requirements and identify solutions
* Ability to understand, identify and respond to the needs of customers.
* Able to run workshops and deliver outputs including process diagrams, high level requirements and supporting requirements documents
* Commitment to delivering excellence in customer service at all times.
* Thorough understanding of the range of technologies and their potential benefits
* Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
* Advanced Microsoft office skills
