Job description: My client, a housing association, is currently looking for a Business Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis in Lancashire.

My client are a well established housing association who develop and build houses, schools, leisure facilities and shops. If you are successful in your application you can be assured of working for a well established and successful company.

They require a Business Analyst to help transform data into meaningful action. Their Property Maintenance division is responsible for reactive and planned work throughout our extensive property portfolio, you will help shape business planning by analysing KPIs and other data to aid our operational team become more efficient and effective.

What your role will be:

You will take a lead role in working with the business to understand requirements and translate these into effective technical solutions, working particularly close with colleagues in IT as we strive to move the business forward. Specifically you will accurately identify and develop solutions to meet customer requirements. You will assist in the development of information reporting at a management and operational level, including presenting your findings at high level management meetings and process mapping with the wider team.

Within this role you will play a crucial part in supporting improvements managing any system enhancements required are delivered within agreed timescales. You will manage various projects, system updates and minor implementations working alongside the team and training coordinator, delivering updates to new and existing staff. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate, this is a role that can really be made your own and that will develop as both you and the team develop.

Your background:

* Ideally PRINCE2 qualified, or have an understanding of the principles of PRINCE2.
* Experience of Agile, SCRUM and Waterfall methodologies.
* IT skills including Excel and the use of pivot tables and lookups.
* Experience of carrying out system testing and implementation.

You will be working in a business analyst role and be looking to take on more responsibility in a highly autonomous role. Ideally you be PRINCE2 qualified or have an understanding of the principles of PRINCE2, if you have experience of scrum/agile/waterfall methodologies this would also be advantageous. You should possess strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills and have experience in the application of statistical methods, forecasting and cost-benefit analysis. Possessing strong IT skills you should be proficient with Excel including the use of pivot tables and lookups. You will have previously carried out system testing and implementation along with using business analysis tools to identify user requirements.
