Business Centre Assistant - Bristol

Job description: My Client, a law firm based in Bristol, is currently looking for a business centre assistant to join them on a permanent basis.

Candidates will preferably have at least one year's experience in a similar role. The successful candidate must be highly organised, committed and an effective communicator; with excellent service skills and the ability to contribute to a team environment, whilst reacting to changing priorities.

A large amount of flexibility will also be required in order to ensure the team is effectively covered at all times.

Business centre duties

* Re-credit the franking machine
* Track and trace recorded mail and special delivery items as requested
* Order courier services as and when required and track progress of deliveries
* Maintain and order stocks of stationery, including all printed items
* Collect all archiving boxes from all floors on request from the Records Team
* Collect all confidential waste from all floors and arrange disposal of the same
* Complete large bulk printing requests including the creation of delegate packs for all events
* Deliver paper stocks to all printers on all floors on a daily basis
* Carry out all requests within the Helpdesk system with assistance from the Business Centre Manager

Facilities

* Set-up/take down all furniture and equipment for seminars and training sessions, including basic trouble-shooting for equipment
* Assist in office furniture moves (occasionally out-of-hours) including basic IT equipment, ie PC, monitor, etc.
* Assist in the issuing and collection of all staff security tokens for door entry system
* Liaise with outside contractors in respect of general maintenance for VWV premises

Miscellaneous

* Assist with the Induction of all new staff with regard to the Business Centre function
* Assist in the collation and supply of data in accordance with any ISO accreditation awarded to VWV
* Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed with regard to ISO accreditation
* Be flexible in approach and carry out all work related requests from the Business Centre Manager, even if they fall outside of the core duties.
