Job description: We are looking to recruit a Business Intelligence and Data Analytics Manager to join the Children And Families Social Work service under Thurrock Council.
Job Purpose.
*We are looking to recruit a BI Analyst to develop and maintain a comprehensive performance management and reporting framework that enables the data collection, storage, tracking, analysis and reporting of the key intelligence required to support children's services and partners.

Key Accountabilities.

*To develop and maintain a performance management and reporting framework for the children's directorate, to ensure that relevant service areas have effective performance measures in place to track and demonstrate progress, help drive service improvements and achieve value for money
*To provide timely and robust data, information and supporting evidence to enable the accurate submission of statutory returns including CIN census and SSDA903
*To assist staff and managers in evaluating the impact and effectiveness of the service reviews in terms of activity, costs, outcomes and value for money
*To contribute to ensuring that appropriate information sharing and data governance arrangements and procedures are in place and complied with across partner agencies
*To link with and maintain close working with data leads across partner agencies e.g. schools and public health
*To carry out research and benchmarking activity with other authorities in order to help promote better outcomes for Thurrock children and young people
*Ensures processes are in place to maintain good data quality
*Perform regular data quality audits and promote data recording accuracy across operational teams
*Identify the impact of relevant statutory, internal or external regulations on the organisations use of information
*Produce regular, reliable and understandable performance information for operational staff and team mangers
*Oversee the analysis of performance data to ensure consistent best practices are deployed across all operational teams
*Represent children's social care and Thurrock Council where appropriate at regional, county-wide and local level as well as within internal groups
*Analyse large datasets and provide community insights and predictive models to forecast demand e.g. Big Data Analytics
*To provide gap analysis, statistical analysis and service review reports for corporate performance board, transformation board and children's performance group
*Supporting the wider Business Intelligence and Data Analytics Team work, as and when required
