Business Intelligence Project Manager

Job description: My client, a Housing Association in Central London, is currently looking for a BI Project Manager to join the company on a 3 month temporary contract leading to a 12 month fixed term contract.

This is offering up to £32.41 limited per hour for the 3 month initial contract, and will pay 40-50K for the 12 month fixed term contract.

You will be responsible for managing the delivery of end-to-end BI Solutions, from Design through to Delivery. The BI solutions range from smaller "tactical" solutions (e.g. report developments, data preparation) through to strategic solutions (data analytics, data warehousing).

You will work alongside the BI Delivery Lead and Architect to develop project plans, drive & lead the delivery activities, monitor progress against plan, manage change as it occurs and report progress to the governance groups. An important part of the role is to build working relations with a wide range of stakeholders and colleagues across the organisation, and to ensure that effective communication and alignment with these groups to address blockers and barriers, and to achieve timely delivery of the solutions.

The candidate will be an experienced Project Manager with a track record of delivery of BI or similar data-related solutions. They will have experience of both agile and waterfall environments, and be comfortable working in fast-changing and dynamic business environments. A delivery focused, tenacious yet collegiate approach is essential.


Responsibilities

* Responsible for the delivery of multiple projects within the work-stream
* Responsible for the creation and maintenance of a detailed plans, which identifies and sequences all activities, dependencies and resources
* Manage and oversea the delivery and quality of all work stream deliverables
* Identify and manage all dependencies between tasks & activities (in-stream, cross-stream and external)
* Work closely with the other Project Managers ensure alignment to Programme methodology and standards
* Communicate the plan and ensure understanding and buy-in of the plans across stakeholders
* Ensure that all roles and responsibilities are understood and committed to within the work-stream
* Identify, mitigate, and resolve all work stream RAID items
* Work alongside the Delivery Lead to proactively manage resource (in-side and outside of the BI Workstream) in all matters concerning delivery and quality
* Ensure actions, assumptions, issues and decisions are identified and captured, and are mitigated and/or escalated
* Responsible for the identification and management of cross-stream activities where appropriate
* Closely track and monitor progress against the plan, and ensure that risks and issues are addressed in a timely fashion, and in accordance with the Programme governance structure
* Produce weekly progress reports in line with the Programme standard
* Responsible for chairing weekly BI work-stream meetings
* Ensure that work-stream documentation is stored and version controlled in the library
* Workshop & meeting administrative tasks including booking of meeting, meeting resources etc. in order to support the work stream and programme activities


Essential criteria

* Solid experience as a BI Project Manager
* Experience working with data and ETL into a Data Warehouse
* Experience of managing project in Agile environment
