Job description: I am currently recruiting for a Business Partner (Systems & Projects) within a Finance team based in Prescot. This is a permanent role with a salary between £31,308 - £38,735. The working hours are 37 hours a week Monday to Friday (flexi-scheme in place).

*To ensure the Group's Finance systems, and the associated feeder systems, are robust and accurate so that the Finance team can produce timely and reliable financial information and reports at all times.
*To represent the Finance team on Group projects where required.
*To contribute to a high performing efficiency culture within the Finance team and throughout the Group.
*To provide peer leadership and challenge across the Finance team to drive team performance.
*To develop a first class internal service that is valued by colleagues and external parties.

Main duties
*Responsible for ensuring efficient and effective Finance systems and processes are in place and are being appropriately utilised across the Group.
*Ensure the Group's Finance system is up to date with the latest releases, and that any new modules that are introduced are presented to the Finance Team with a recommendation of whether to implement.
*Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the Finance system provider, being the main point of contact for the Group and regularly attending user groups to keep up to date with the provider and their clients.
*Develop and maintain a robust chart of accounts for the Group's Finance system which maintains integrity and efficiency at all times. Ensure the chart of accounts enables the Group to report financial performance efficiently and effectively.

*Ensure the Group's Finance systems provide robust internal controls to maintain the accuracy of Group business intelligence and financial reporting - responsible for Finance data governance, regularly reporting on data integrity and providing assurance that the systems balance across all Group entities.
*Ensure that the integration between the Finance system and other Group IT systems is robust and effective to maintain the integrity and efficiency of the Group's financial reporting.
*Ensure true business partnering approach to the provision of Finance support services
*Maintain the ongoing integrity of the Group's Finance systems by managing and maintaining systems security and systems maintenance.
*Group projects - Represent the Finance team on Group-wide projects, and ensure all new initiatives and ways of working are incorporated into Finance systems and processes.
*Group projects - Support project managers across the Group to ensure project costs are validated and support project implementation from a financial perspective.

To be considered for this role you must have Professional Accounting Qualification or part qualified & commitment to completing exams. The ideal candidate will have :

*Experience in operational management in Finance
*Experience of process or systems development
*Experience of staff leadership (desirable not essential)
*Excellent stakeholder management and communication
*High level of ability to develop and drive high performance culture
*Ability to support efficiency and customer excellence
