Job description: A fantastic opportunity has arrived at the agency for a Band 7 Registered Mental Health Nurse or Social Worker to join an NHS based Early Intervention Team in Lancashire.

The post is full time Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week) for a minimum duration of 13 weeks, with a likelihood of extension. The position is Band 7 paying £28p/hr (Ltd) depending on experience.

Early Intervention in Psychosis teams specialise in working with young people aged between 14 and 35 who are experiencing their first episode of psychosis. They provide a range of services, including anti-psychotic medications and therapy, tailored to the needs of young people with a view to facilitating recovery. The aim is to support young people during an important stage of life when they are very vulnerable to developing life-long problems such as long-term unemployment and social exclusion.

The successful candidate:
Must be able to carry a community caseload of patients, working across clinics and patients' homes in providing high quality care.
Must be prepared to work in a busy high-pressured environment and be a comfortable, effective and organised lone worker.
Must work effectively as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) comprising of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists and social workers.

Must be a Qualified Mental Health Nurse who is currently registered with the NMC or a Qualified Social Worker registered with the HCPC.
Must have a minimum 6 months working in Community Mental Health in areas such as CMHT, Assertive Outreach, Early Intervention, Crisis Resolution, Primary Care etc.
Must hold a full valid driving license and a car is essential to use as part of the job role. | (01772)208963
