Job description: Care Support Worker, Band 2

Vacancy working as a Care Support Worker treating patients with mental health illness based in Winchester.

A Care Support Worker is needed to join a busy team. The role involves providing direct care and observation of individuals who use the service under the guidance and indirect supervision of qualified staff and work with patients on an individual and group basis to actively engage the service users in their treatment.

Candidates must have a minimum level 2 NVQ in care, and must have previous experience working within a care setting.

Candidates must also be able to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and be able to work flexibly in line with the hours of the service.

The role is an initial 3 month NHS contract, with likelihood of extension.

Shift patterns are flexible and full time, with a pattern including long days, earlies and night shifts and the hourly rate for the role is:
£11 p/h for Monday - Friday daytime hours.
£13p/h for Saturdays and nights.
£15p/h for Sunday's and bank holidays.
