Job description: Care Support Worker needed for Wiltshire Council, £11.14 ltd an hour

Start Date- ASAP
Contract End date- Response to Covid-19
Hours per week - 37 - hours are flexible
Pay rate - £11.14 ltd an hour
Team - Vulnerable Adults in the Communities of Wiltshire
Location - Salisbury, Chippenham or Trowbridge

Description
*Work with customers to help them regain their independence with daily living skills, including washing, dressing, meal preparation, and personal care
*Safeguard the health, safety and wellbeing of customers as well as colleagues
*Undertake all mandatory training relevant to the service.
*Assist customers with the use of mobility aids and assistive equipment where required
*Delivery care and support in a range of settings. Primarily customers' own homes but, if required, also day centres, community hospitals and in the community
*Assist customers with moving and handling, adhering to health & safety requirements as well as organisational policy and procedure
*Contribute to daily communications, accurate record keeping, recording actions, interventions and incidents in customer's records
*To work shifts to meet the needs of the service including early morning, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Currently 7am to 10pm including some weekend shifts, part-time hours are also available.
*To undertake travel across the Wiltshire area to carry out customer visits.

What is required?
*Experience of working in a caring role either informally or formally a positive attitude with willingness to undertake the required training which will include mandatory training and the care certificate.
*Ability to work alone and as part of a team
*Driver with access to own vehicle
*If you are not a driver or do not have access to a vehicle, please make the application as we may be able to offer flexibility
*Previous experience of providing care and support to the elderly and/or people with a learning disability
