Job description: An exciting new role has just become available for a Care and Support Team Leader to join a private supported living service for older adults within Edgware!

Applicant does not need to drive for the role.

Temporary pay rate: £14.50ph ltd

Hours and length of contract:
*Full time: 37.5 hours per week
*3 days of care shifts, 2 days office based
*Mix of shifts:
oEarlies: 07:00-14:30
oLates: 14:30-22:00
*Flexible rota, including weekends
*The manager is looking for the position to be filled ASAP with an initial 3-month contract length (likelihood of extension)

Daily Duties:
The client operates nationwide and is one of the UK's leading providers of affordable housing and support services and they support both older adults and also those with mental health or learning disability needs.

You be working as a Team Leader to lead the team by example and ensure that the service provided is consistently improved. Role duties will include but are not limited to:
*Supporting the development and remodelling of services, raising the profile of the Service
*Assisting in the development, delivery and reporting on team plans
*Assist with the monitoring, management and reporting on performance and risk, taking appropriate action to deliver compliance with quality standards, business targets, contractual and regulatory frameworks.
*Recruit, induct, develop and manage the performance of staff
*Ensure customer and staff engagement in the development and implementation of business processes to ensure they meet changing requirements.
*Manage the scheduling and deployment of team members (including annual leave and absence) to achieve optimum care levels for customers as well as providing a cost effective staffing model for the service.
*Support Team Managers to manage service income and expenditure budgets effectively, to meet contract and business requirements, maintaining excellent standards of service delivery.

The 24/7 service that consists of approximately 40 one bedroom flats and apartments for older people, including couples. These service users are over 60 years old and require a minimum of 10 hours support each week due to being registered as either disabled or having additional care needs.

Person specification:
While previous management experience is not essential, you must demonstrate the ability to supervise others and lead by example. In addition you will be able to manage your time effectively and have a clear understanding of risk management and safeguarding.

The applicant must be DBS cleared and have substantial experience of supporting vulnerable adults and preferably older people.
