Job description: Service care solutions are looking for a Channel Support Coordinator for Luton Council Funded by the Home Office working and support Individuals risk of Radicalisation

To support and contribute towards the ongoing development work to safeguard and support young people and adults who are vulnerable from becoming radicalised across Luton and Bedfordshire. Co-ordinate referrals for Channel conducting assessments and support the delivery of packages and services available for young people and adults at risk of becoming radicalised.

About the Role:
The post holder will be the first point of contact for Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire local authorities in relation to the assigned case management process for those local authorities.

The post holder will have a vital role in delivery of the Channel Programme and the broader early help and safeguarding work in Central Bedfordshire and Bedford Borough local authorities. The post holder will be required to work strictly to policy and procedures of the Council, the Home Office to deliver the Government's Radicalisation and Extremism safeguarding agenda

You will be working closely and liasing with the Police, attending Visit and Risk Assessing individuals

What you need to apply?

-Understanding/Experience of Safeguarding individuals
-Understanding / Experience on Radicalisation
-Ability to Risk Assess individuals
-Mind-set of a social worker / Experience with Legislations
-Car Driver / Access to own Transport
