Job description: An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Child Care Legal Assistant to join a local authority in Worcestershire on a temporary basis. They are also willing to consider candidates with a Family Law background. They are looking for someone to join their team of 13 people to help assist with the ever growing and critical caseload.
You will be an experienced Child Care or Family Legal Assistant and join their office on a temporary basis. The role will include working alongside four Legal Assistants in helping their nine Solicitors and Barristers who advise and litigate on child protection matters.
Duties and Responsibilities
*Supporting nine Solicitors and Barristers within the department in order to help them and the department with their child protection matters.
*Drafting legal letters and legal agreements to meet tight deadlines in regards to childcare cases.
*Carrying out research, preparing court bundles and attending meetings.
Experienced Required
*Must have at least 6 months experience working as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal
*Ideally you will have local authority experience however private practice experience will be considered
*Ability to draft documents including witness statements
