Job description: Cambridgeshire county council are recruiting for a Children in need Social Worker

We are looking to recruit highly motivated qualified Social Workers within a children's CIN Team, who will be able to assess effectively and manage a fast paced work environment.

You will Provide a clear and accurate assessment of a child and his/her family's needs in line with statutory guidance * Undertake interviews, observation and gather information from children, families and other agencies. To analyse, summarise and evaluate this information to provide a holistic assessment of a child's needs * Understand the context of child development, parenting capacity and family and environmental factors in which to establish the needs of an individual child * Assess and balance risk and protective factors within a child protection framework * Provide written and verbal reports which are concise, informative and based on analysis of complex evidence * Review and reassess cases as necessary and be open to a change of view in response to new evidence * Build a professional relationship with children and their families and use that relationship to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes

For this position, you must have -
*A degree or masters in Social Work (or any other recognised equivalent qualification)
*HCPC registration

It is desirable that you have 1+ years post qualifying experience within Children's Services.
