Children's Nurse - Leeds

Job description: Service Care Health are currently looking for an enthusiastic children's nurse to work within an NHS residential Facility in Leeds.

This is a fantastic opportunity for any body looking to work in children's Services.

You will be working in an area that is a purpose built self-contained "home from home" styled facility providing planned or emergency short-break care for children with complex health needs.

Our Client is looking for children's nurses who may have skills in the following areas:

- Ventilator care
- Tracheostomy care
- NG feeding
- Skills in high dependency paediatric care.

To be considered for this role, you must hold a Degree in Children Nursing or equivalent, have up-to-date registration with the NMC and have at least one years NHS experience. The learning difficulty qualification and experience of working with children would also be beneficial to your application.

Your daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Maintaining high levels of clinical competence throughout the service
- Where appropriate, assisting in coaching all clinical staff
- Respond to incidents in a professional and appropriate manor
- Assess clients care needs, and provide direct nursing care when required
- Maintain accurate, individualised care plans for each client
- Establish and maintain good communication with clients, relatives and colleagues
