Job description: Children's Social Worker - Children in Care - Dudley

In partnership with Dudley Council, Service Care Solutions are looking to appoint an experienced Social Worker to join their Children in Care Team.

This position is to start immediately so APPLY NOW to be considered! This role is available on an initial 3 month contract with a chance for extension after that!

Due to the nature of this opportunity we are ideally looking for applications from candidates with a minimum of 2 years post qualifying experience within a similar role.

Social workers in this team work with children and young people up to the age of 16. In most cases these children and young people will be living separately from their parents in foster care, children's homes, or sometimes with family members.

Children and young people may have been removed from their parents through a court order, or parents may have asked the authority to look after their children because they are unable to do so at the moment.

The CIC social workers carry out assessments with families as to decide whether a child or young person can return to live with a parent, or alternatively with a family member.

The CIC social workers work closely with children and young people, and other agencies, including the health and education services, to develop care plans that meet the child's needs. They also listen carefully to that young person's wishes and feelings and take these into account.

If you are interested in this role and require any information or any information on any other role in your area please contact Oscar at Service Care Solutions on 01772 208964 or message me above.

Service Care Solutions also offer a referral fee of £250 for anyone you may know. Once they are placed and complete their probationary period you receive a £250 bonus!
