Job description: Social Worker | Childrens Referral & Assessment Team | Sunderland

Sunderland City Council are looking for 3 Qualified Social Workers with post qualified experience to work within their Referral & Assessment Team. The team assess the need of both the child and family in question. The role is for an initial 3 months with pay rate of £24.63 per hour.

- Initial Assessment of both the child and family.

- Provide advice on the support networks and services available to the child and family.

- advise the best ways to care and protect children and families.
- hold a varied caseload.

- Able to work autonomously. Investigating any concerns of neglect through section 47 investigations.

- Evidence of ability to use analytical skills to determine positive outcomes for children and young people within tight timescales.

1. HCPC registration essential
2. SW qualified
3. Post qualified experience
4. Recent Assessment Team/Child protection/LAC experience
5. Available to interview immediately
6. Available to start immediately
