Children’s Residential Deputy Manager
Location: Wisbech
Salary: £33,600 – £34,800
Additional Pay: £3,250 – £6,500 per year for sleep-ins
Hours: 08:00 – 22:00, 39 hours per week
Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence required
Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of one of our clients for a Deputy Manager to join a well-established Children’s Residential Home in Wisbech. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people with emotional and behavioural needs in a safe, stable, and nurturing environment.
About the RoleAs Deputy Manager, you will support the Home Manager in delivering high-quality, therapeutic care. You’ll lead by example, mentor staff, and ensure that every child receives the structure and support they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the day-to-day management of the home and ensure compliance with Ofsted standards
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the care team
  • Act as a positive role model for both staff and young people
  • Support with rota planning, budgeting, and staff development
  • Create a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for children
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a residential children’s home
  • NVQ Level 4 in Children and Young People or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures
  • Experience managing staff rotas and budgets
  • Full UK driving licence
