Job description: Service Care Solutions are currently on the lookout for a Children's Registered Manager to support the running of a Residential Children's Setting specialising in therapeutic care and support for children and young people aged between eight and eighteen years.

The post is based in Greater Manchester working on a permanent basis. The hours of work will predominantly be Monday - Friday there may be an occasional requirement for weekend or evening work.
The home is newly established in June 2017 and due to movement of managers internally this exciting post has arrived. The home has a 4 bed capacity with current planning to increase this to 5 bed.

The starting salary of this position is £32,000 per annum, this may be negotiable depending on previous experience and qualifications.

Your main responsibilities will be:
*Day to day management of the residential service in accordance with the company policy and the guidelines laid down by Ofsted.
*Demonstrating leadership and support your staff to provide the best level of care.
*Dealing with any matters that may arise in accordance with current legislation and standards.
*Making sure that the highest standards of childcare are upheld by conducting regular quality assurance inspections and implementing successful placement plans.
*All developments and planning within the home.
*Manage budgets and year-end reports.
*Staff recruitment, training and supervision via training programmes and appraisals.
*Risk assessments, planning person-centred care packages and rota management.
*Taking the lead on Ofsted inspections when required.
*Helping plan activities for the service users.
*Establishing and maintaining good communication with clients, relatives, colleagues and professionals outside of the home.

Ultimately be accountable for delivering high quality care to the children and young people within the home, and must have the mind-set that everything you do is focussed on obtaining the best outcomes for each child and young person.

The successful candidate will have 3 years proven residential care management experience in a residential childcare setting and hold either a DipSW, NVQ Level 5 in relevant Management or Children's qualifications, Registered Managers Award (RMA) or Leadership in Management Level 5+ and must also have other qualifications recognised in line with Ofsted Registered Manager requirements.

You will have an excellent understanding of Ofsted regulations, as well as the ability to lead a fantastic staff team. The successful Registered Manager will be focused on driving positive change across the residential care home and ensure that support packages meet the expectations of the residents.
