Job description: Service Care Solutions are seeking a Civilian Investigator to work along side a safeguarding team in Bromley, South East London.

The successful candidate will work within the Safeguarding investigations arena which includes Child Abuse, Serious sexual offences and Domestic Abuse.

Key Responsibilities:
-Take requests from Safeguarding Investigators to contact and secure evidence by way of Statements from victims and witnesses.
-Assist Safeguarding Investigators with Video Recorded Interviews. This may include acting as controller if not trained or interviewing if trained in Achieving Best Evidence.
-House to house enquiries looking for witnesses.
-CCTV enquiries to include identifying possible CCTV, Viewing and seizure and exhibiting with necessary statements.
-Completing requests for Third Party Material from Police partners such as Social Care and Education and on occasions viewing this material in support of Police Disclosure Officer.
-Assisting Officers in reviewing Mobile data downloads in support of investigations.
-Updating Crime reporting & Information System (CRIS) with their enquiry outcomes.
-Urgent movement of exhibits for forensic examination, ie to the lab. May also involve ensuring exhibits ready for dispatch from Police Station.

It would be an advantage to be ABE trained.

As this is Civilian Investigator (ex-officer) role, candidates must have worked directly for a UK based police force in order to be considered.

University qualifications will not be taken into account for this position.
