Job description: Service Care Solutions are looking for a team of Civilian Investigators to cover a major contract in the West London area.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working as a DC or PC within a Police Constabulary (within the last 3 years). The General Enquiries Officer will be an ex Detective, or an ex Police Officer having an aptitude for conducting investigations & research & ideally having been appropriately trained in the use of HOLMES version 16. This officer will have the capability to complete actions, read relevant material on Holmes, carry out enquiries and prepare messages, spreadsheets and reports as necessary.

AC Professionalism's IRSC is responsible for managing the Police response to the current Undercover Policing Inquiry (UCPI).
The IRSC work closely with the Directorate of Legal Services (DLS) to provide disclosure of highly sensitive material to the UCPI in relation to undercover policing.
The UCPI is an extremely broad ranging Public Inquiry dealing with the historical and current conduct of undercover operations.
Enquiry Officers seeking to work on the team will benefit from unique opportunities in a complex and challenging area.

Work Involves:

Review, disclosure and redaction of highly sensitive material with consideration and understanding of key risk factors related to disclosure

Fact-finding, research and information-gathering, paying particular attention to detail & accuracy to enable disclosure and legal compliance with UCPI requirements

Liaison with business groups across the force, in particular within covert policing.

Preparation of high-level briefing material on sensitive, complex and high-profile matters

Liaison with key internal & external stakeholders

Undertake tasks directed by the IRSC strand leads as per the requirements of the UCPI and MPS legal team

Review and redaction of sensitive material using eDiscovery software (training will be provided as necessary)

Essential Criteria:

Recent experience of working within the Policing environment.

Team working and problem solving skills

PIP Level 1 accredited

Proven Investigative ability

Desirable Criteria:

Holmes v16 Trained (View Only or Reader/Receiver or Indexer)

Open Source Trained

PIP Level 2 accredited

This is a Civilian Investigator (ex-officer) role, meaning that candidates must have worked directly for a UK based police force in order to be considered.

University qualifications will not be taken into account for this position.
