The Venice Investigation Team (the VIT) conducts reactive and proactive investigations into P2W (powered-two-wheeler) criminality in order to identify those responsible and ensure they are charged and remanded. The VIT employs a range of tactics to gather evidence and respond to intelligence to support its objectives. To date the majority of the VIT's work has been dealing with complex linked series P2W robbery and burglary investigations and prosecutions, leading to offenders receiving lengthy sentences at court. Operation Venice are now also looking to tackle street robberies in the same way.
