Job description: A Clerk of Works/Site Supervisor (NEC3) is required to join a regeneration team at a local authority based in South Yorkshire. This is a full time, ongoing agency role and the successful candidate will need experience in a similar role, preferably in a local authority setting and will need qualifications and a good understanding of Health and Safety practices. The successful candidate will need a full UK driving licence.

The main responsibilities of the role are outlined below;

Ensuring the works are undertaking safely and in accordance with the works information, standard details and the contractor's method statements, lift plans, risk assessments and safe system of work.
Identify defects, notify the contractor and certify rectification of snagging items.
To assist the NEC Project Manager with managing the contractor, sub - contractors, liaising with Network Rail and statutory undertakers and dealing with technical queries
To identify technical problems on site and recommend corrective action.
To maintain accurate records, site photos and data, operate and maintain information systems.
To undertake actions delegated by the NEC Project Manager and advise on Compensation Events and Project Managers Instructions
Attend internal and external meetings as required.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following experience/knowledge;

Design Manual for Road and Bridge Works with an extensive knowledge of bridges and other highway structures.
Experience in supervision, coordination quality control and monitoring highway and bridges schemes carried out under NEC3 ECC.
A broad knowledge of CDM Regulations and other relevant Health and Safety Legislation
Deep understanding of the technical, procedural and contractual responsibilities of an NEC3 ECC Supervisor.
Proven experience in liaising with Network Rail and statutory undertakers.
Ability to work alone or as part of a project team.
Excellent communication skills and an ability to keep and maintain accurate records
