Job description: A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join an NHS based Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in the Manchester area.

The post is full time Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week) for the next 7 months, with the potential of extension. The manager will accept Band 7 or 8 practitioners, pay rate is dependent on experience.

The service will provide assessment, specialist support, treatment and care planning for patients up to the age of 13 experiencing intense worries, distressing feelings and eating disorder. They also work with parents, wider family members and other key adults to understand problems better and decide what will help to make a difference.

CAMHS provides a range of different services including cognitive behaviour therapy, family therapy, courses and groups for parents and carers - as well as for young people. There are also dedicated services for specific groups of young people - for example, looked after children, adopted children, children with a learning disability and a specific service for 16-17 year olds.

Requirement:
Must be an experienced Clinical Psychologist currently registered with the Healthcare Professional Council (HCPC).
Must have a minimum 12 months working in CAMHS.
