Job description: An opportunity has arisen for a well organised and motivated individual to join the friendly and helpful Administration team within an NHS service in Bury St Edmunds.

IT skills are very important, but a key requirement is for high levels of emotional resilience and the ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm. The team rely on each other for support and there is an intrinsic need for the ability to work independently but also to be able to identify when issues need to be escalated.

Grade: Band 3
Job Title: Clinical Support Administrator
Duration: Up to 3 Months
Hours: 37.5 Hours PW
Location: Bury St Edmunds

Brief description of role:

*To provide support with the compilation of reports, typing letters and correspondence when required and to be responsible for uploading patient information onto online databases and any other appropriate system in a timely manner.
*Answering the telephone, taking messages and processing enquiries.
*To use Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook as required.
*To assist with reception duties when required.
*Checking that stationary supplies are adequately stocked and ordering when necessary.
*Covering medical secretary work
*Use of Lorenzo
*Audio Typing
*Copy Typing
*Minute Taking

Essential skills:

*Analytical and judgement skills
*Accurate attention to detail
*Excellent Keyboard skills
*Excellent telephone and communication skills.
*Ability to work under pressure.
*Ability to prioritise own work load and work towards deadlines.
*Proven ability to work as a member of a team
*Ability to liaise with all professionals, colleagues and service users in a confident and effective manner
*GCSE A-C or equivalent in English and Mathematics
*Good level of general education
*Word processing experience
*Good understanding of the General Data Protection Act
*Minimum of 1 year working in an office / educational environment
*Good communication skills with an empathetic approach
*High levels of emotional resilience
*Ability to work under pressure in a calm manner
*Enthusiasm and motivation
*Flexibility in approach to work and the changing needs of the service/team.
*Willingness to undergo further training

Desirable skills:

*Formal Secretarial Training (i.e. RSA or shorthand qualification)
*Use of Lorenzo
*NVQ Level 2 in Admin or
*Desire to attend courses relating to role, as appropriate.
*Experience of digital dictation systems and software
*NHS experience
*Desire to work in a Mental Health Setting
