Job description: Commercial Property Solicitor

Cardiff - Negotiable Salary - Career Progression

Work as a Commercial Property Solicitor in Cardiff for a legal 500 and multi-service law firm with an exceptional reputation for the services that they provide. They have an excellent office culture and the firm is a great believer in looking after their employees with competitive salaries but also fantastic career progression and autonomy from day one.

The ideal candidate will have between 4-6 years' PQE in commercial property but less/more experience will be considered if within the field. You will be competent in all areas of general commercial property including dealing with property developer clients in areas such as pre-emption agreements, development, forward funding, re-financing, sale of freehold reversion and contracts. There will be a particular focus on commercial leases.

Responsibilities:
*Deal with complex and sensitive case work as a lead fee earner in all areas of commercial property with a particular focus on commercial leases
*Client management
*Provide prompt and accurate advice and draft all associated documents
*Actively participate in business development including supporting marketing with innovative ideas, promoting the legal services of the firm and securing new clients and referrals
*Supervise more junior members of staff
*Keep up to date with legislative changes and identify any training as required to meet SRA, business and personal needs
*Meet billings timescales
*Undertake any other reasonable duties as required

Requirements:
* Admitted solicitor or barrister
* 2 - 7 PQE
* Management experience of junior staff desirable
* In depth knowledge of Commercial Property Law in particular commercial leases
* Understanding of data production, freedom of information and confidentiality requirements
* Able to appropriately motivate and influence people with strong communication skills
* Ability to plan, meet deadlines, initiate and implement change an prioritise competing demands
* IT skills
