Job description: Role: Communications Officer (Human Resources)
Location: Sandbach, CW11
Work pattern: Mon-Fri, 09:00 - 17:00, 37 hrs
Start date: 20/05/19
End date: 3 month ongoing contract

I'm looking for a communications professional to support a range of marketing, PR and public engagement projects, including digital and social media. You will plan, deliver and advise about communications activity, with a focus on creative digital and social media that promotes the priorities of the company. The job role will involve creating and commissioning a wide range of content including: copywriting, social media planning and posting, creating and emailing the newsletter, supporting events and commissioning designs. I'm looking for somebody who has previous experience of three years in a similar role, an excellent understanding of marketing and PR communications theories and concepts. You must be able to travel around the East Cheshire area.

Key Responsibilities
*You will develop and implement cost effective, creative, audience specific communications plans and products that promote the Council and that support the Council's business objectives.
*You will commission cost effective, creative, audience specific communications products from a range of internal and external providers.
*You will set, monitor and evaluate SMART communications objectives for communications activity.
*You will coordinate a schedule of communications activity.
*You will contribute to a comprehensive body of marketing and communications intelligence to inform and support delivery of communications objectives.
*Build an influential network of internal and external contact as an enabling resource to support delivery of communications objectives.

Essential Experience:
*Degree or relevant qualification in a communications discipline.
*3 years professional experience in a marketing/PR communications role.
*Excellent understanding of marketing/PR communications theories and concepts.
*Excellent IT skills including Microsoft office and any specialist IT skills.
