Job description: A large, national housing association is recruiting for two Community Assistants in Enfield, responsible for assisting in the provision of a support service for vulnerable clients and with day to day delivery of support services to clients in their own homes across the borough.

The Role
The focus of this role is to provide community based service users have with the support they require, this will involve the following tasks and responsibilities:
*Provide community based support to clients in their own homes, as part of a team.
*Act as an initial point of reference on the phone, or in an office area as required.
*Carry out day to day office administrative functions to ensure that all records and files are maintained and held securely and that the confidentiality of information is upheld.
*Have an awareness of the clients support needs, working, under direction, supporting clients to help them achieve their agreed outcomes.
*Contribute to the formulation and delivery of person centred support plans. Assisting clients with day-to-day support and tenancy issues, sign posting to the appropriate agencies.
*Promote and encourage a high level of client involvement, consultation and communication.
*Using IT systems appropriately including adding updates on the Support Database.
*Advise management promptly of any signs of problems or concerns about a client. Recognise signs of distress in clients and identifies ways to reduce this.
*To correspond and liaise as necessary with external agencies on behalf of clients.
*Report any issues of anti-social behaviour to a senior staff member Ensure culture and diversity issues for the client are considered at all times, and report any forms of discrimination.

The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require the following skills and experience:
*Experience of working with vulnerable client groups.
*Experience of delivering structured support in either housing or social care.
*To demonstrate IT Skills to include a basic proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel as well as a willingness to learn specific IT systems used within Care and Support.

The Contract
One of these vacancies a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week for an initial 3-month contract, though is replacing a permanent leaver so there is a strong chance the role could become permanent.
The second vacancy is working 18.75 hrs on a rota 7days a week, on an initial 3 month contract.
The scheme is 24 hours supported living specialising in mental health. The hours required by our staff are 9am to 9pm 7 days per week (on a rota but if anybody wanted weekends especially that would be considered).
