Service Care Solutions currently on the lookout for an community mental health practitioner to join a highly respected Mental Health organisation offering clinical and therapeutic support to adults, children, young people and families who are survivors of torture.

This post is Part Time paying between £25 - £26p/hr (Ltd Company). Please Note: The recent IR35 changes do not affect private clients; therefore, you can still receive the benefit of being paid through your own Limited Company if applicable!

The successful candidate must be able to carry a community caseload of 16-65 year old mental health patients working across clinics and patients' homes in providing high quality care.
The successful candidate if a non-nurse must have previous clinical experience.
Must be prepared to work in a busy high-pressured environment and be a comfortable, effective and organised lone worker.
To perform detailed risk assessments in diagnosing multifaceted mental health issues and to manage referrals to specialist services where necessary.
To work collaboratively with other service providers - health, social/community and voluntary, including using social care procedures to directly request community services when appropriate.
To ensure that all care offered is evidence based and all interventions to take into account any specific physical, cultural, psychological, and spiritual and age related needs.
To support the organisation in ensuring service users are protected from abuse, or the risk of abuse and their human rights are respected and upheld

Person Specification:
Qualified Mental Health Nurse or Social Worker currently registered with the NMC/HCPC
Experience of working with refugees or asylum seekers and awareness of the needs of this client group
A car driver, with use of a car and relevant business insurance is essential
Previous experience working in community mental health setting
