Job description: We are currently looking for a Community Nurse to work in the Birmingham area on an adhoc/block booking basis, this is an ongoing requirement.

You will have the challenge of working on the community with patients in the home setting. There are a total of 36 community teams across Birmingham, You will be working with a variety of disciplines within the multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes for patients to ensure their independence and well being.

The post holder will carry out a variety of nursing duties as part of the patients holistic care management through the assessment and evaluation of health needs particularly in the areas of palliative care, wound management, diabetes and other long term conditions.

-Catheterisation - male
-Catheterisation - female
-Catheterisation - supra-pubic
-Bladder management and washouts
-IV administration
-Administration of sub-cutaneous fluids
-Cannulation
-Compression Bandaging
-Doppler Assessment
-Diabetic Foot Assessment
-Complex wound management/dressings - including packing wounds
-Simple wound care
-Management of pressure ulcers
-Ear syringing
-Enema/suppository administration
-Administration of medication via PEG
-Sub cut injections
-Blood glucose monitoring/administration of insulin
-Syringe Driver
-Full assessments including identifying referrals to OT & Physio and equipment required
