Job description: Community Psychiatric Nurse, Band 6.

Vacancy treating children and adolescents who have suffered sexual trauma, in Epsom.

A CPN is needed to join a busy team treating children and adolescents who have been subjected to sexual trauma. The candidate will offer one to one support and advice throughout the investigation - from attendance at the SARC to the end of the investigation or court process. The candidate will also work with children, young people and families to develop support plans and promote safety.

The candidate will provide explanations of the investigation process and the criminal justice system, act as a liaison person between families and agencies such as the police, education, CPS, Social Care, Youth Support Service, GUM services and the Witness Service.

High quality care and ensuring standards are the highest possible, are crucial.

The candidate must have experience working with children, young people and families. Training and induction will be provided regarding the specialist aspects of this role such as knowledge of the criminal justice process and team referral processes etc.

The role is to commence on May 20th 2019 and the role is full time, working Monday-Friday.
The hourly rate for this role is £25 p/h.

Candidates must be a qualified RMN with a valid NMC Pin and must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage their own caseload of up to 25 cases, and to be able to produce complex care plans that can be used to aid patient recovery. The ability to work autonomously and under pressure is essential.
